HD Developments was chosen by the clients, who were also the architect and interior designers on the project, to build the home of their dreams.

In May 2021 we arrived on-site once the previous property on the plot had been demolished.

The timber frame construction consists of an open plan ground floor living/dining area and kitchen, with a separate bathroom and utility room. On the first floor are three bedrooms and a wetroom all with skylights to let in plenty of light.

The exterior of this unique property is clad entirely in Larch. This caused some issues with the supply of the larch and meant an 18-week delay on the build while we awaited delivery. Fortunately, our flexible project management meant we could secure the site and leave to work on other projects while we waited, ready to jump back on site as soon as the cladding arrived.

The cladding continues inside the house, with TVG cladding on the interior walls and a 10mm shadow gap at floor level in place of skirting boards.

Features of the property include underfloor heating powered by an outside heat pump, a Lusso Stone bathroom, and a hot tub sunk into the rear exterior decking.
